What’s with all the talk about processed food?

Evidence is starting to stack up. We have been led to believe specific dogmas about what is “healthy” for us as it pertains to nutrition. There are Vegan, Vegetarian, Paleo, Keto, Mediterranean, Pescatarian, Carnivore - and MORE - ways to eat. The truth is: You have to decide which is right for YOU. However, as time goes on - it’s becoming clear that nobody, NO BODY was created to consume ultra-processed “food” products in the way that we do! Follow the link to learn more!

Sugar/Processed Food Addiction

It’s very common to hear “I’m a carbo-holic”, “I am addicted to chocolate”, and “I need my caffeine to get through the afternoon”, making it hard for those with true food addiction to be taken seriously. Diabetes, morbid obesity, social isolation, eating disorders, mental and emotional problems, and more are just some of the symptoms people experience with this disease.

While the evidence is growing, finding an educated and trained professional who understands the disease of addiction as it relates to food is difficult. Many assume that those who struggle with their weight are non-compliant with the (bad) advice to eat less, and move more. It is not your choice to overeat.

Addiction is a brain disease with many outlets. For individuals with food addiction, changing what and how they eat will take more than following a food plan.

Hello!

Welcome! My name is Molly. I am a person for whom the advice of “eat less and move more, “all foods fit”, and “eat all foods in moderation” DOES NOT work.

I would have never known this is what was going on for me if I hadn’t tried just one more “crazy” approach to losing weight (which is an extra struggle for me because I have PCOS). If you want to know more about me, check me out HERE.

I work with clients to get off high-exposure (“red”) foods, improve their mental health and wellness, and design a dynamic strategy to maintain their new lifestyle.

I do NOT advocate for any one specific way of eating, but rather encourage and educate on high-exposure (“red”) foods (the ones that are designed to psycho-actively affect our brains), support clients through the acute and post-acute withdrawal process, attend to mental and emotional issues as they arise, strategize how to navigate their heavily cued environment, and encourage them to build a support system that will carry them into the future they want.

I offer groups and individualized 1-on-1 sessions that are guaranteed to address your specific needs.

Not sure what you need or what to do or where to start? I am happy to spend time with you in a free consultation!
